MultihomingGuard

LAN first, Wi-Fi as fallback.

This package installs the MultihomingGuard menu-bar app and its background service. As soon as a wired connection – Ethernet, a dock or an iPhone over USB – is verified to work, Wi-Fi is switched off; when the cable goes away, Wi-Fi is back within a second.

Installed:

/Applications/MultihomingGuard.app – menu-bar display, launches at every login
/usr/local/libexec/MultihomingGuardDaemon – background service (LaunchDaemon, root), makes every decision
